Erik Herndon began his horsemanship journey in 2011 when he met his wife and was introduced to a horse loving family. He was immediately intrigued by the horses, this way of life, and the endless opportunities of learning. With lots of dedication and many hours in the saddle, Erik holds the titles of the Southern Stockhorse Novice Champion, Extreme Cowboy Race Regional Novice and Intermediate Champion, Extreme Cowboy Race Intermediate Reserve World Champion, Extreme Cowboy Race Novice World Champion, Extreme Mustang Makeover Top Ten Finalist, Mustang Magic Invitee, Extreme Cowboy Association Non Pro Reserve Champion, Extreme Cowboy Association Pro Top Ten Finalist. Erik loves the competitive atmosphere, but most of all, he loves the people, displaying the natural abilities of the horse, and sharing his love for Jesus Christ from the saddle.
Fourth generation rancher Booger Brown began riding horses as soon as he could sit in the saddle, and his character was shaped by working cattle with his father and grandfather on the wild terrain of the family ranch in South Florida.
He demonstrates the hard work ethic and strong Christian values instilled within him at an early age to millions of viewers as one of three main characters on the popular show, “The Cowboy Way,” which airs every Sunday at 10 p.m. EST on the Inspiration Channel.
Booger’s lifelong horsemanship journey reached new heights when he was selected to participate in Road To The Horse, dubbed “The World Championship of Colt Starting,” on March 22-24, 2019 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Booger travels nationwide demonstrating exceptional horsemanship through equine and cattle clinics and horse training seminars. In addition, he announces rodeos and gives motivational speeches. Booger also hosts an annual cattle drive that allows others to experience the cowboy way for a whole event-filled weekend. Visit boogerbrownalabama.com for more information.
